2 freaking years (I'm picky)
I wanted it to be black, twin turbo, 5spd, and have leather seats. Got everything but the seats. How far away was it?

ha, I knew the basics of stick and have only driven it a couple of times. So I pull it out of the driveway, scrape the bumper and then stalled. Drive it around for a little bit and then come to a hill. After stalling repeatedly, the owner helps by pulling up on the e-brake to assist me from stalling again. Your First drive =)
Drove it home with my friend following behind me. Stalled at lights and was chirping tires b/c I let off the clutch too fast. And any other details you would like to share of when you bought your Z.
I bought the car with a bad injector and was in safety boost and was willing to put in the time to give it some work. So the car didnt impress me at all performance wise. And one look at the engine bay frightened me to no end. First thing that I said was "man I cant imagine pulling a motor on one of these cars". Next thing I know a couple months later I pulled my first engine. :)
